Our mandate is to introduce families, adults, teens and children to the enriching world of art and self-expression through art making in a positive, creative and healthy environment. Artistic Way instructors are all qualified teachers who receive enthusiastic reviews from their students.

Sculpture & Pottery – Clay Studio

Nebojsa Stojkovic

Dig into and explore the expressive nature of clay. Create your own sculpture and useful objects using slab and coil construction. You will also have a chance to try out a potter’s wheel. This course is suitable both for the beginner and more advanced students.

Independent Study

Sadtko Hadzihasanovic

Working from photo images, discovering your individual approach to landscape drawing and painting. Using different drawings and painting medium, we concentrate on developing your perceptual skills through a series of exercises, which gradually increase in range and complexity. Topics covered include the fundamentals of colour theory, the study of light and shadow, composition, visual perspective, paint handling and application.

Watercolour – Beginners

Anna Yuschuk

Designed for beginners and for those with a little experience in this medium. Students will learn the basics of watercolour techniques, how to mix colours and brush handling. There will be demonstrations of various paint handling techniques. Working from still life and subjects of the students choice, the course also covers the fundamentals of composition and perspective. Opportunities exist for all ages. We provide the materials and you provide the imagination.
No experience is necessary. You can do just about anything with glass, with the help of our experienced glassworkers.

Drawing 101 (or An Apple’s Not Just Apple)

For kids who love to draw and paint, or those who would like to learn how. This course introduces the basics of drawing; visual perception, techniques, materials and the creative thought process. We’ll touch on still life, portraiture and abstract themes, and will explore both black/white and colour. (Materials included)
